*This is a collaborative post but all thoughts/efforts are my own
It’s around this time of year I start craving pastels and brights on my nails. I’ll admit I’m woefully bad at nail art so a pretty colour is normally the extent of my skills but it doesn’t stop me admiring all the crazy and creative trends coming our way and giving me ideas for the next time I’m getting my nails sorted in a salon. So as I’m working with Ellisons on today’s post who are releasing an eBook with Essie Nails called ‘A Touch of Luxury’, I’ve been rounding up some of the brightest, prettiest and possibly difficult nail trends I can find for 2017.
I actually think this trend is pretty deadly, the only problem being my cuticles are usually in an utter state. The glittery look from Rodarte that outlines most of the nail feels like it’s almost doable as you wouldn’t have to be quite as precise as if you were doing a normal french manicure. Either way I’m definitely going to give this look a go, I just need some cuticle oil and a little TLC first!
Back to Black
Black may seem like an odd choice but as you can see, it’s intricate, refined and very pretty once you have a little skill and imagination thrown into the mix. I like the mix of black with white and red but have to say I’m also strangely drawn to the stripped black straight down the nail although no doubt it would look ridiculous on me.
Bright and Bold
I adore seeing a bit of colour for the warmer months and I’m entranced by how pretty and vibrant all the looks here are. They definitely require more than a whisper of skill but the bottom look that’s a very colourful version of a french manicure with added gold accents is just bloody gorgeous and this is what I’ll be asking for the next time I’m getting my nails done!
Thanks to Ellisons for collaborating with me on today’s post and I’m looking forward to seeing their eBook with Essie!
So girls is any look here catching your eye and what type of nail look do you like to wear in the Spring/Summer months?
