I was taking a wander through the newly reopened Clerys with my mam and nana, admiring how beautiful the place looks when I spied a little stand that hadn’t been there previously. A stand full of wonderful lip butters, Korres lip butters to be exact. Now all my Korres goodies have been from online shops so to see them in all their wonder right in front of me was brilliant, especially when I saw they had the stick versions of their lip butters on display. I’ve reviewed most of the lip butter tubs (which you can have a look at in all their glory here) but out and about I don’t want to dip a mucky finger into a pot so a twist up balm is the only job.
There was around 4 coloured and two colourless on display and I opted for Pink which seemed to be nicely in the middle between very pale and a bit brighter. I have to hand it to myself, I chose very, very well and this hasn’t been off my lips since. I’m a divil for lipbalms and their natural look and I love a very specific pink shade that isn’t too bright but looks natural and pretty. Well this is it and it’s worth every penny.
€10 isn’t admittingly cheap for a lip balm but you’re buying a really, really good product here. It feels silky and soft on, moisturises the lips with shea butter and has an SPF15. The finish is tinted with a slight shine but it thankfully won’t stick to your hair in the wind or make your sandwich taste like gooey balm when you’re trying to eat. There actually isn’t one thing about this balm I don’t like, it’s perfection in a tube.
I’m delighted Korres are easily accessible now and if you’re on the splurge for a nice balm, Clerys is the way to go. I’ll definitely be picking up more of the balms!
AND if you’re dying to try Korres but won’t be able to make it to Clerys, there will be a Korres competition in January so keep your eyes peeled!
So girls have you tried anything Korres yet and are you as obsessed with lip balms as I am?
