Who knows about your blog?

Blogging is an amazing past time and a pleasure to either create or just to browse as a reader. But I have noticed there’s a distinct divide in blogging between people who are very vocal about being  a blogger and those who prefer to keep things a little quieter. Now...

Afternoon Tea

Doesn’t this look good enough to eat? I’m trying to stay off the sweeties so maybe that’s why I’m giving this duo a double take, but you can’t deny the cuteness of this pair from Bomb Cosmetics. I’d spotted various cuteness from the brand dotted around many a chemist in...

makeup monster competition 3

Stressed out with shopping or making endless lists? Well today’s competition is all about relaxation with a nice secret surprise, think like a Kinder Egg for grown ups (although I love a good Kinder Egg)!

BAO Candles are a homegrown, Irish company (based in Wicklow) specialising in beautifully scented candles, which is enough to make any girl happy, but these have a twist. Hidden inside the wax of each candle is a piece of jewellery carefully wrapped in heat protected foil waiting to be discovered as you burn your candle! I LOVE this idea! Each jewellery piece is a surprise but every lucky girl will get either a necklace, bracelet, brooch or earrings!

bao-on-the -rock

There are 4 soy candles to choose from, all in brightly coloured jars in cool colour co-ordinated packaging, and I was lucky enough to be sent the Yellow Candle which has a citrus scent which I find really refreshing and it’s been lovely to burn for the past few nights. I can see the outline of the heat protected foil deep in the candle, but for now my surprise gift is hidden from me for a few more nights! Once you see the foil though, it’s easily removed with tweezers and you can pick off any remaining candle and open it up to get your gift!

I seriously love this idea though and think it would make the perfect present for the girl who thinks she’s seen it all when it comes to presents! At €24.95 each, these are great value considering you’re getting a piece of jewellery in the bargain and lucky for you lot, BAO Candles have free delivery this month for Makeup Monster readers using the code mmdec13, so enjoy!

And BAO Candles have gone a step further and are offering a giveaway for you lucky lot to win a candle of your choice!

This competition is open to Ireland only and you can enter below, good luck!
