Well Halloween is over which means it’s open season for all sorts of Christmas merriment so here’s a pretty little pressie today from Too Faced to get you in the present buying mood!
I loved Too Faced to begin with, they’re cruelty free, visually fun and have a great selection of products at quite reasonable prices (I have a special love for their eye palettes). Apart from one stand in Liffey Valley Dublin, online is your only man with Too Faced but with the plethora of blog reviews and swatches out there on their latest products, I’m very happy to shop that way.
Beauty Bay very kindly sent me this gorgeous little number from their upcoming Christmas collection and it’s all sorts of pretty. This is a small but perfectly formed palette that has a clear lid that flips open to reveal 9 festive shimmer/metallic shades, two base eyeshadows and a bronzer and bright pink blush.
To tempt you further, Too Faced have teamed up with Mary McDonald who’s big in the US (I had to google her) with her show Million Dollar Decorators to design a nifty IPhone 5 case that the palette fits very neatly inside of. Now unfortunately for me, my phone isn’t an IPhone or anything like it but I think the case is cute and will definitely appeal to a younger crowd. But back to the palette which is the star of the show.
As it fits inside a phone case, this is essentially a travel palette which would very easily slip inside your handbag without any extra weight so it’s the perfect weekend away/downsized makeup bag addition. This does mean the eyeshadow sizes are quite teeny so you’ll just about fit your brush in them, but that’s the only issue.
All the shades on offer are pigmented, soft and in a beautiful range of shades with the brighter colours being the standouts. This is aimed at having a Christmas vibe and the shades reflect that but not in a way that will alienate a lot of girls with a whacky range of colours, although it’s probably one step outside my comfort zone. I found all the eyeshadows very wearable though and I definitely see this palette being a huge winner with teenage beauty fanatics as it’s so cute and fashionable. The blusher and bronzer are a bit too bright and dare I saw young for me as I like a softer look, but again I could see a 16-18 year old falling in love with them.
All in all, I think this is a total winner for teenager makeup addicts and the IPhone case may just seal the deal. A great little pressie idea for girls who love a great quality brand but want a dose of fun thrown in for good measure!
The Jingle All the Way palette and the other products in the Too Faced Christmas collection will be available on BeautyBay here very soon if you fancy a gander.
So girls what’s your thoughts on this little doozy?
