Well hello there Naughty Mauve! I was a little bit in love with this decadent gloss when I wrangled this from the postie and first laid eyes on it with it’s gorgeous gold and black packaging, and to be honest I fell a little bit more in love when I tried it. This is meant to be the perfect hybrid gloss and stain in one with huge reflective shine, all wrapped up with a luxurious YSL feel.
I thought this was going to be a tame dusky rose shade when I first looked at it but on the lips it seriously pops, living up to it’s name in a big way. This has a whopping burst of mauve dusted with the tiniest reflective purple particles. This means from far away, this shines and shimmers like a mad yoke and that’s no bad thing. I couldn’t stop admiring it for a while before I got around to taking photos.
As far as lasting power goes, I felt the gloss side faded as normally and after a meal there was only a bare trace of colour left. Still, honestly, this is one of the nicest lip glosses I’ve tried in an age and all kinds of gorgeous on, which is is exactly what you’d expect if a product is this expensive. I can’t do it justice in the photos but if you have pay day coming up and fancy a treat, go check these babies out, this one in particular. Get the girl at the counter to try it on you and then waltz around the store admiring your reflection in the mirror, it’s that good.
If you feel like a splurge, these are €33 available nationwide.
So girls is this something you’d buy or would you choke at spending that money on a gloss?
