It’s no secret Urban Decay are one of my absolute favourite brands and their eye palettes and All Nighter Spray get daily use in my makeup routine. So when I got the chance to try their beautiful new lippies, I was VERY EXCITED.
I’m generally a gloss girl but I can’t resist the look and colour of a beautiful lipstick and this collection has much to love about. Packaging wise, I’m loving the cool chrome style which houses some stupendously gorgeous looking colours. Just to warn you, these are splitting their sides with pigment so if you’re afraid of colour, these will knock your socks off. If you do like your lipstick to make an impact though, these are one of the fastest ways to brighten up your whole face in a couple of swipes.
I tried out 3 shades from the lineup, all pretty darn amazing.
First up, ‘Naked 2′ which is a serious caramel nude shade and a huge departure from the types of colours I usually wear. I thought this might look quite sheer on the lips but not at all, this is a full on shade for a 60′s Bridget Bardot vibe and, as the name would suggest, would go hand in hand very nicely with any of the shades in the Naked 2 palette, or any of the other Naked palettes for that matter.
‘Obsessed’ would have Barbie dancing on her tippie toes and is a bright, baby pink that would pair well with a smokey eye. Again the colour this imparts is big but I find application quite easy with the shape of the lipstick itself. Finally, ‘Anarchy’ is the showstopper of the three and is a bright raspberry pink that’s perfect for night time or days when you need something to brighten up your day pronto.
All three gives huge colour on application and feel more like applying a pigmented balm as there’s an added boost of hydration in them. This means they glide on with ease and feel really comfortable on the lips. These are especially going to rock on cold Autumn nights and into winter for Christmas festivities. I love these girls and I’d definitely shove you all in the direction of the Urban Decay counter to swatch all 22 shades until your arm falls off!
If you’re as taken by these as I am, they’re available from Debenhams instore or online here for €20 each
So girls will you be checking these out?
