You can always count on Clarins to bring out beautifully classic collections that are well worth getting excited over. Some of the prettiest new offerings over the past year have been from Clarins and the latest Autumn collection, Graphic Expressions , is no exception. We’re talking beautiful browns, soft pretty powders and a brand spanking new foundation and concealer that promises to work even for the driest, fussiest skin.
I was lucky enough to be sent a whole host of goodies from the new collection so I hope you’ll have as much fun discovering it for yourself as I did! I’ll be splitting the goodies over two posts, and today is all about their new eye palette and face palette.
Any Clarins palette you get instantly makes you feel glamorous with it’s signature red velvet pouch and mirrored gold compact. Inside it gets even better. I’m a sucker for eye palettes and neturals so this one was the perfect storm for me, all shimmering and brown and dying to be used. This would be beautiful for night time but I love a bit of day time shimmer on the lids so I whipped this on for the first time for a day out in Tayto Park to up the glam stakes! Amidst a big walk and farm animals, this kept perfectly in place all day and looked really pretty on if I do say so myself. To be honest, it hasn’t been off my lids since. Clarins shadows don’t give enormous colour payoff and are a little harder if you’re used to Urban Decay for example, but they’re solid palettes in wearable, pretty shades and this is my firm favourite out of all their eye palettes I’ve tried. At €41, it admittingly isn’t cheap, but it’s a gorgeous treat for a lady who loves her makeup.
Not to be outdone, the Graphic Expressions Face and Blush Powder (€37) is also a joy to behold. I’ve always thought Clarins bring out the prettiest blusher powders and this one really takes the biscuit with stripes of brown and coral blush with a peep of gold shimmer. I’ve never been able to use one of these as a full face powder but as a blusher this is brilliant and depending on what way you want to swirl the colours, is very subtle but buildable for most skin tones. You can see it as a subtle blusher on me in the pics below!
So far, so very, very good with this collection and I’ll have a review of Clarins’ hype heavy foundation and concealer later this week! This part of the collection is available now from Brown Thomas and stockists nationwide.
So girls, are you as in love with the look of this collection as me? Share!
