With March on the horizon I’ve started to crave pretty pastel colours and balmy summer days. I adore pastel shades, in tops, jeans, blazers, shoes and anything makeup related. These were like a little burst of sunshine when I opened them up, it was exactly what I was craving to brighten up a cloudy day. So here’s the lowdown on Sweetie Shop, Butter London’s Spring 2013 collection..
I was spoilt rotten and got to try out all the shades from the new range and it was a hard pick to decide which shade I loved the most. The whole collection immediately conjures up thoughts of ice cream, milkshakes and hazy summer days and I fell in love with each one instantly.
The packaging is classic Butter London, with sturdy rectangular bottles with pull-off tops that reveal a twist cap inside with the crazily cute crow logo on top. The coverage from these was beautiful (2 coats is best) and gave a gorgeous finish. I adored each and every one of the 6, each one was prettier than the last. The only stickler is they’re more expensive at €15 each, but for the beautiful shades, size of the bottle and overall quality, I couldn’t argue with how good they were.
All shots below are with just one coat, for a perfect finish I prefer two!
It’s safe to say I’m going to be wearing these all the way into Spring and Summer and if you’d like a little slice of pastel heaven for yourself, these can be bought in Avoca, Dublin Dylan Bradshaw, Harvey Nichols, The Loop in Dublin Airport or online from BeautyMatters.ie
