The new Expert Last Collection offers 14 sumptuous lipsticks in a rainbow of bright shades. First off, I really like the packaging which reflects the colour of each individual lipstick while the clear top means you can get a good peek at the colour before you buy. I tried out 6 shades from the collection, ranging from light pink to deep wine.
All the colours are extremely pigmented and offer full coverage with a satin finish. These apply really easily with a huge wash of colour and are comfortable on the lips but I’d probably recommend a balm underneath to stop them drying lips out for long wear. They are lasting by name and lasting by nature and wear really well throughout the day.
The shades I tried were a mixed bag – I really liked the red shades and fell in love with Airkiss, while the other pink and plums had a metallic finish which I wasn’t so keen on. With 14 shades though and at under €3 a lipstick, there’s definitely a shade to suit everyone and the pigment in the lipsticks punches way beyond it’s price range. This is a very purse-friendly way to integrate a bit of colour back into your life and these lippies will be huge sellers for girls who want to hit the tiles and have a strong, long lasting lip for the evening.
