My all time favourite foundation is Lancome’s Teint Miracle for it’s beautiful pale pink shade and luminous quality. Now I’m an out and out Asian BB Cream addict so that’s my go to product for everyday wear on my very dry skin, so foundations don’t normally excite me as much as they would other people. Saying that, I was really, genuinely thrilled to try out Lancome’s brand new foundation after falling so heavily for them before.
Teint Visionnaire claims to be the first high-tech make-up duo that pushes the concept of perfect skin to an all-new level with the alliance of a targeted high-coverage corrector enriched with vitamin CG and a perfecting foundation with 2% concentration of [LR 2412] which is their new magic ingredient. For the first time Lancome say women no longer have to choose between ultra-perfection and a natural-looking result.
Sounds pretty great right? So here’s how it performs.
I tried shade 007 Beige Rose which is a little too dark for my skin tone but there are lighter shades in the range so not to worry. The formulation feels pigmented but thin and it glides onto the skin very easily and disappears into the skin as you buff it. As I said before, my skin is extremely dry so foundations and I don’t mix but I’ve found that Paese’s matte primer creates the perfect smooth canvas on my skin so I had zero problems with this foundation.
Even though it’s slightly too dark, it blended really well and set to a matte finish within a few minutes. It looks very natural on the skin and is only obvious on my most dry areas around my nose. It has a luminous quality but the matte finish means you won’t look at all greasy so it’s a great choice for dry or greasy skin.
The concealer housed in the lid is a harder formulation and needs a little warming up with your fingers to get good payoff. I used it under the eyes and can happily report it doesn’t crease in the slightest so it’s a very handy concealer to have. Overall, I’ve worn the foundation and concealer all day and it hasn’t budged and looks just as good as it did this morning.
I have to give serious top marks for Teint Visionnaire. I think this could be a beautiful mix between the Teint Miracle and Teint Ultra foundations and I’d seriously advise you to go get matched to a shade and have it applied so you can see what I’m talking about. It’s the nicest foundation I’ve tried, well since Lancome! This little beauty is out on Valentine’s day (start dropping your hints now!) and will retail for €45.
So girls, are you excited about this new foundation and will you be sampling it when it hits the stands next month? Share your thoughts!
