I’m probably the last girl in the country to finally try out this much lauded mascara but, in my defence, I was finding it very hard to justify a €25 spend on it. However, while in Boots Liffey Valley (definitely my favourite Boots) I spotted the trial size versions on sale for around €11. Sorted! I’ve never seen this on it’s own on any other Benefit counter but it’s a great idea if you want to try it out before you splurge on the full size version.
Well having tried this out the past few days I have to say it’s a very decent mascara. The wand is excellent and really holds onto each lash making it really easy to sculpt your lashes. I found this much better than the other mascara I’ve been turning to lately, Essence’s I love Extreme Volume Mascara, as the wand is a bit too big to really work with.
As you can see below from the before and after, my results are a tad clumpy but I do think this is just from using a new mascara that I’m not quite used to and given a week or so, I’ll get my technique down!
So, what’s my verdict? Well I can easily see this becoming my new mascara once I learn how to apply it clump-free! I can’t argue with the results!
They’re Real is available from Benefit counters nationwide and I got my smaller version in Boots Liffey Valley!
