I’m a divil for my perfumes, I get through them at a fantastic rate and I always feel a little more glamorous and feminine with a sweet smelling scent. So here’s three beautiful perfumes I’ve been sampling lately, all of which are at differing ends of the price spectrum to suit a variety of budgets.
Big spenders: YSL Manifesto €53.50 – €102
From the exquisite bottle to the beautiful scent, this sophisticated perfume is a real treat. The striking and talented Jessica Chastain is the ambassadress of YSL’s brand new fragrance which combines scents of Jasmine, Lily of the Valley and a core essence of sandelwood and mellow vanilla. If you’re looking to spoil your mum, a friend or yourself, make sure you check out Manifesto when it launches on September 19th.
Mid priced: Roger & Gallet €40
This beautiful delicate scent is light and girly and a great way to hang on to summer before it wanes completely. This generous sized glass bottle houses a fresh, flowery scent that combines wild strawberry and mandarin from Italy, Jasmine and Violet from Egypt as well as Patchouli and Sandalwood. Overall, this feels fresh, airy and pretty as a summer garden.
Cheap and cheerful: Lush Vanillary €8 – €31
I have to say, this is my favourite out of the bunch and the most long lasting. A very strong vanilla scent may not to be to everyone’s tastes but it’s well worth a sniff next time you’re passing Lush. This comes in three forms – a traditional perfume bottle, a solid perfume and the spray which I sampled. At €14, the spray is great value and genuinely, one application will still have you smelling sweet at the end of the day. A total winner. I’ll be picking up a few of these as Christmas presents and another for myself for good measure!
