So I’ve gushed about how perfect Revlon’s Photoready Primer is and I’ve been seriously impressed with their Photoready Mousse, so now it’s time for the lips.
I held off for a seriously long time from buying the crazily hyped lip butters, but I was sent a couple along with the bases and, sure enough, when I was in town yesterday I bought another one having truly liked them. I also bought another Just Bitten Kissable after sampling them in my package.
The lip butters are lovely, vibrant and super soft on the lips. At this stage, you all already know this having sampled them for yourselves but this was my first foray into the world of lip butters!
Macaroon is a shimmering wine shade that packs a punch and while it’s not the type of shade I’d normally wear, it’s beautiful on and will be an absolute must-have for anyone who loves a vampy lip.
When I was in town, I ended up grabbing Strawberry Shortcake, which is a really true pink shade and very buildable! I love my pinks so I’ll get a lot of wear out of this!
The Just Bitten Kissables are a big rival to Chubby sticks and a fraction of the price. They’re just big soft, slightly glossy crayons and really easy to use and thankfully twist up, so no giant sharpeners are required! I tried two, Lovesick and Honey.
Lovesick is a really bright pink shade, suited for girls who really like to make an impact with their lips! It’s a little too bright for me but I can’t fault it’s prettiness!
I picked up Honey in Boots as I love a soft rose shade on the lips but it’s often really hard to find a decent shade. This one ticks on the boxes and again, is easily buildable to take you from day to night.
(From top: Sugar Frosting, Strawberry Shortcake, Macaroon, Honey and Lovesick)
At a little over €10 for each, these aren’t the cheapest options but they’ll last ages, have loads of shades to choose from and look lovely on while keeping your lips soft. I’m sold!
So are you all addicted to Lip Butters and would you give the Just Bitten Kissables a try? Are there any must-have shades I need to try? Let me know!
