Body butters are one of those beautiful products that I sniff and sample every time I’m in The Body Shop but yet never buy as they’re very expensive and I’m always in two minds about whether they’re worth the money.
Well, having tried out the new Peach Body Butter and it’s accompanying body scrub for the past week or so, I have to admit, the dasterdly brains at Body Shop have completely changed my mind.
Firstly, when you open both products, you’re met with a beautiful, fresh smell of peaches that’s simply divine. I was still a little sceptical though, as many products can have a pretty smell that all but vanishes when you actually use them.
In the shower the body scrub was perfect, offering enough exfoliating power matched with a creamy wash you could use this alone rather than having to use both a body wash and separate scrub. Afterwards I used a generous dollop of the body butter all over and away I went.
So the results? Well the body butter does an amazing job on dry skin, it’s a serious moisturiser and a little goes a long way. And honestly, all day I could get a subtle scent of peaches from my skin. Even at the end of a decidedly muggy warm day, I could still get the faint scent of peaches.
So yes, €20 is a fair chunk of change, there’s no denying it, but I absolutely love this product. The scrub is great, but the body butter is the one that really caught my interest the most. If you want a serious treat for dry skin and want to smell fresh and fruity all day long, you really couldn’t ask for a better product. Now I can’t wait to try another one! This hits stores in September so keep an eagle eye out for it!
Finally, I’ve also been in The Body Shop twice now for their eyebrow threading. Both girls were amazing at achieving a great shape and made the experience quick and professional. My only gripe is that I had a different girl the second time who did them a little thinner but, as I should know by now, you should always specify what you want at the start! Still I can’t fault the job they do, and at €12 it’s a total steal!
