I love trying out brands for the first time, especially when they’re savvy enough to release a whole line dedicated to the pale and interesting among us. In fact, there are three different lines for pale, medium and dark skin tones, taking the hassle out of worrying which shades will suit you best!
I was spoilt rotten to the core when I was sent a whole heap of goodies from the ‘fair’ collection (along with some Blingtone eyeshadows) from Myface to showcase for all you lovely readers so here’s a breakdown with swatches galore!
And yes, before you say it, I did make a giant ‘My’ for the above picture thinking it was cool. And I still think it is:)
First up are the eyeshadows, which are usually my weakness with any collection! As I’ve mentioned, these aren’t from the ‘fair’ line (eyeshadows don’t feature) but these would suit most people! From left to right the shades are Silver Screen, Purple Haze and Pink Champagne
These famous blingtone eyeshadows are used on Rhianna and a whole host of other celebs. They’re very glittery, almost gritty shadows but do give a lovely sparkle effect and a nice shot of colour.
Next up are the bases for the ‘fair’ collection. These are the lightest shades available and are decent, but I’d say another few shades lighter would be even better. Gwyneth Paltrow has sung the praises of the Mymix foundation on her site Goop, check out what she says here!
Above are pics of my cheek before and after using the foundation. For some reason the camera has made my skin look really awful and strangely tanned but there you go! A little goes a long way even though it’s quite a thin foundation and it’s a nice dewy base for summer that doesn’t settle into my pores too much!
The powder and blushes come in these nifty holders which are around the same size as an IPhone and have a really decent sized mirror inside as well as a nice blush brush.
Above are the three shades suitable for pale skin tones, Sweet Escape, Holiday and Paradiso Pink. I’m a sucker for pink shades so Paradiso Pink is my favourite but I have to say they’re all really nice and blendable.
Now on to the lips! These really are the highlight of the collection! These three lip shades are gorgeous and really suit my pale skin. There’s also very similar to the Lancome Rouge in Love lipsticks as they’re lovely and glossy, a feature I love in a lipstick!
From top, the shades are 152 vintage pink, 154 sweet dreams, 155 strawberry fields.
Vintage Pink is definitely more of a nude shade but is really nice for a day time look.
Sweetdreams is a soft pink shade that would work for day or evening.
But my absolute favourite is Strawberry Fields, the brightest shade of the bunch. I usually prefer nudes but this is a really lovely soft strawberry colour and I fell in love with it as soon as it hit my smackers!
I was also sent two lovely soft lip pencils which are really complementary and easy to use.
On the left is Rose petal and Berry is on the right. There’s also another nude shade in the set aswell.
Finally, here’s the two lovely lip pop glosses I was sent from the 6 available fair shades, on the left is 135 ‘I Like Boys’ and 131 ‘Diamond Girl’ is on the right.
135 is a sparkly pink and gold tinged gloss but goes on quite neutral and gives a lovely sparkling finish without looking tacky! 135 gives a great cherry pop of colour but again, doesn’t look too bright or overpowering!
