I do love me some Soap & Glory but I think we all tend to fawn over the skincare slightly more than the makeup. In fairness to S&G, their makeup line has some great gems but as nothing has a Sugar Crush scent yet, the skincare tends to win every time for me. Still, I was lucky enough to meet up with the lovely Katie from S&G for a chat over chips recently (Oscar ate all mine) and she filled me in on all the latest happenings with the brand, which includes these, a relaunch of the Sexy Mother Pucker Lipsticks, which now total 24 shades in three groups (reds, pink and nudes) and three finishes (satin, matte and high shine).
We all know the name, we all know the hype. Now no makeup product should be better than sex, but I’m all open to a mascara that’s better than the competition. Some bloggers absolutely adore this with their heart and soul so it’s been sitting on my wish list for a couple of years now gathering dust. And so started the cycle that happens with me and a lot of really hyped products, I’d put this on the top of my ‘must buy list’ after reading a brilliant review, only to get cold feet when I came across another post saying this wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. Anyway, after all that messing, it was sent to me a while ago and I finally had the chance to cross it off my list and find out once and for all if it was actually something special.
For the week that’s in it I thought a little patriotic post was appropriate but I’m not doing a Leprechaun inspired tutorial or anything (although that actually sounds magnificently bad). Instead, today is all about beautiful skincare products that are each from fantastic homegrown Irish brands. Some you may know, some may be a new discovery for you today, but all are well worth reading about and trying for yourself!
